Got Knocked Down? Get Back Up!

In this world we live in there will always be people that will try to knock you down in any way possible. They will disagree with everything you say. Make your friends turn against you. Convince everyone around you that you can’t do it, that you are not capable of it.

I’ve personally been in that situation before. I’m a university student and we have group projects which means working in a team that has many ideas and many people that will argue against your ideas. There was this girl that just kept constantly disagreeing with everything I do, everything I say. And she even convinced my friends that my idea was a terrible idea. It got to a point where only my closest and truest friends had my back because they believed in me, but the rest were on her side. But that didn’t stop me. I was still determined and committed to the idea I wanted to finish. So I worked on my idea from A-Z with all the details possible. I didn’t want to give her the chance to criticize my work or ideas. In the end after finishing my idea and presenting it, the first thing that came out of the girl’s mouth was “oh my god, your work is amazing, you’re talented”. And this other guy that was also against the idea shared it on Facebook and it received so many likes.

Not only did that draw a smile on my face but I felt proud of myself. I let my work speak for itself. I didn’t back down when stones were thrown at me. I stayed committed, I didn’t give up. Because I saw light at the end of the dark tunnel.

So here’s the trick, are you the type of person that’s willing to give them the chance to do so? Are you going to let them walk all over you and make you feel like you’re NOTHING when in fact you’re something they can never be? A legend. A person with a bright future.

Are you going to let them take away the light in your eyes that screams talent?

That’s the question that most people fail to answer.
